We all know that bees make honey which makes it 100% natural and organic. Honey is a by-product of nature which has lots of health benefits and so to have this product synthesized would really be a bummer.
Nowadays lots of honey are actually fake and not the real organic kind. There are ways in which you can understand if the honey is fake or real. The fake honey does not help your health the way real honey does so it is necessary to know the real kind.
These are 6 ways in which you can understand if you are using the real deal or not;
1. Read the Label very carefully while buying
The producers have to write the content information of the label of the products and thus reading the label can give you the right idea about the product.
2. Real Honey Caramelizes
Caramelization is a process in which you’ll understand the difference. Take few tablespoons of honey and heat it in your microwave. High heat instantly caramelizes real honey whereas, fake honey becomes all bubbly and foamy which is proof of all the preservatives and additives in the product.
3. Absorption in Paper
Real honey if laid on paper will not absorb in it and will remain intact whereas fake honey will absorb into the paper due to the water content in the fake honey.
When you add honey into warm water, real honey initially mixes with water and later forms clumps and settles down at the bottom of the container whereas fake honey melts into water.
5. Bread with Honey
This sounds like a nice breakfast, it is also a good test for honey. When you apply honey on your bread, if it hardens then it means your honey is real. If the bread dampens or becomes moist then it means the honey is fake as fake honey has water in it.
Fake honey stays in the syrup state even after a period of time but real honey crystallizes after a while.
These ways will 100% let you judge your honey for the better and not for the worst.
